This special edition Martin Ditson 111 is based on the first dreadnought guitar designed by Martin for the Oliver Ditson company in 1916. It has an Adirondack spruce top with aging toner, mahogany back and sides, and a modified V-shape 12-fret mahogany neck with a slotted headstock. Appointments include a tortoise plastic pickguard, ebony pyramid bridge, Brazilian rosewood body binding and headstock overlay, and engraved Waverly Sloane tuners with ivoroid buttons.
