LOLLAR SET LOLLARTRON HUMBUCKER SIZE NICKEL

Product Details

Using a 1960s-era Gretsch Country Gentleman as a benchmark, we crafted this pickup to capture the classic rockabilly humbucker tone first made famous by Chet Atkins. The neck pickup is warm and buttery with a crystal clear top end. The bridge pickup is fat and twangy with a rich low end and outstanding clarity. When combined, you get the sparkle, spank, and punch synonymous with rockabilly and early rock n’ roll. Available in nickel or gold covers and as sets or singles. Single conductor braided shield lead wire.

Please note: The Lollartron uses a standard humbucker-size rout. It is not designed as a direct replacement for vintage or reproduction Filter’Tron® style pickups.

DC: Neck 4.4K, Bridge 5.3K

Lollartron Traditional Mount Vintage
Product Details – Using a particularly magical ’63 Gretsch Country Gentleman as the tonal reference, the Vintage set uses Alnico 2 magnets and has the clarity and punch players expect from a classic Filter’Tron with the treble strings delivering high frequencies that are focused on the fundamental of the note, resulting in a fat, full tone that won’t get muddy. Lollartron Traditional Mount pickups are offered with three mounting options: “Ring/Pickguard Mount,” which hangs from a bezel or pickguard like a traditional humbucker pickup; “Original Mount,” for early Gretsch guitars; or “Body Mount,” as used on Fender’s Carbronita.

DC Neck 5.2k, Bridge 6.2k

Lollartron Traditional Mount Mod
Product Details – Compared to the Vintage set which uses Alnico 2 magnets, the Mod set uses Alnico 5 magnets and is spankier and punchier – but never gets brittle or spiky. The tone is glassy and chimey; typical of an early rock ‘n roll sound. Lollartron Traditional Mount pickups are offered with three mounting options: “Ring/Pickguard Mount,” which hangs from a bezel or pickguard like a traditional humbucker pickup; “Original Mount,” for early Gretsch guitars; or “Body Mount,” as used on Fender’s Carbronita and other solid body guitars.
