A departure from Fender’s traditional tone wood choices, the 2017 Limited Edition American Elite Mahogany Tele Thinline tempers the traditional Tele bite with the rich sound and warm look of mahogany. Over the course of its journey from the forest floor to the player’s hands, this body wood has weathered natural disasters, acquiring more than a little mojo along the way.
The 2017 Limited Edition American Elite Mahogany Tele Thinline is loaded with a single 4th Gen Noiseless single-coil Telecaster bridge pickup and a fat-sounding ShawBucker Special Wind humbucking neck pickup (coil-splittable via the S-1 switch) for noise-free, high-output tone.
The Elite Suspension Bridge is a unique design; a screwless mount increases the vibration transfer, driving the top for nearly endless sustain and lively response. The compound-profile neck sports a 9.5 in.-14 in. compound-radius maple fingerboard, ideal for most playing styles, and topped by 22 medium jumbo frets for a familiar feel.
